Bruschetta with a Tosfrit Touch

Discover how to transform your favourite snacks into innovative and delicious dishes.

What if we were to combine the tradition of Extra Crispy Totas with a gourmet Italian twist? Bruschetta is the name given to a dish originating from Italian cuisine, considered one of Italy’s most popular and traditional antipasti.

Today we bring you a fusion between the two, giving an extra crunchy touch to this typical Italian recipe with our Extra Crunchy Totas with sea salt. Your guests will be delighted with this starter. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of extra crispy Totas with sea salt
  • 2 chopped ripe tomatoes
  • 1/4 finely chopped red onion
  • Fresh basil leaves to taste
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese

Preparation:

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the chopped tomatoes, red onion, and chopped basil leaves. This simple but explosive combination of flavours will be the base of our appetizer.
  2. Dress the mixture with olive oil and a few drops of balsamic vinegar. Season to taste with salt and pepper. The acidity of the vinegar will enhance the flavour of the tomatoes, creating a perfect contrast.
  3. Arrange the Totas on a wide platter as a base for your appetizer. Their extra crunchy texture and flavour will be the ideal complement to the freshness of the topping.
  4. Spoon the tomato mixture generously over each potato, making sure to evenly distribute the flavours.
  5. To finish, add a few flakes of Parmesan cheese on top of the potatoes. This will add a touch of umami that will round off the appetizer perfectly.
